Ready to volunteer events for your community groups?

Create impact directly for the communities you care about and influence representation in tech. Choose to engage in a one-off event like resume reviews, mock interviews, or a monthly subscription of events. Reports include metrics on volunteer hours, your lowered carbon footprint, and the amount raised for your giving platform.

Mentors make great leaders

Match me with a fellow

Mentors choose 1-2 focus areas from the following:
✅ Can speak to how you transitioned to tech
✅ Team lead skills of coaching and task management
✅ Offer resume and interview reviews
✅ Have a workshop you want to test out before a conference
✅ Space to continue working in Javascript via Node and Vue
✅ Onboard and ramp early career folks to problem solving

“Practice skills for the next step of your career”

Pair Hours with Advocats (ERG) is an opportunity to give back and provide mentorship to those who wish to become engineers. Entering into the tech industry can be overwhelming at times and I believe that programs like these can really make a difference for junior engineers. It is also a great opportunity for those who wish to gain more experience in handling the responsibilities of a more senior engineer or team lead.

We're open sourcing how devs ramp and grow

I wish I had these workshops when I had first started out in tech - thats the perspective I teach from. It helps that I can often bounce ideas with mentors and I can bring them to work too.
Some of the demos also end up being great for early career folks on my team.

Growing happens when we get constructive feedback

People need support when they're still in their firsts - first open source contribution, blog, or even talk. Teaching workshops has been a great to exercise how we're responsible for whats modeled for the next generation.
I end up returning each quarter and encourage teams and seniors to continue to practice feedback and see what grows as a result.

Organizations can measure how they tech for good

Leaders across ERGs, Guilds, Affinity groups, Communities of Belonging, Social Impact, and Engineering teams can easily set up volunteering activities where we do all the lifting.
